{Abbie} | Senior

On more than one occasion, I have been blessed to know my clients when they were younger. In Abbie's instance, however, it made me *gulp* to know she was a Senior because I knew Abbie when she was a wild-haired little beauty 12 years ago. She was a curious girl who I always saw when I would occasionally visit her older brother, Adam. It's hard to believe that little girl that would hang on her older brothers every last word, is now as old as I was when I first met her. THAT is very hard for me to admit, because I still feel 17 inside :)

I was overjoyed when Abbie's mom, Michelle, emailed me to set up her senior shoot. Not only was I excited to shoot for Abbie, but also the kind words Michelle had for me and my work. I always felt a kindred spirit when I was in her presence, she is so warm and inviting. Makes the whole experience of Senior images so worthwhile when you have people so awesome to work with.







Abbie's session was absolutely wonderful all around. I love her images, and I even got to pay a visit to my old friend, Adam, his wife and son, and the Dart that I coveted rides in as a teenager :) Many great memories revisited,many laughed over and cringeworthy (on my part), during Abbie's shoot! ;)









Thank you, Abbie! I hope you enjoy your senior year to the fullest and now I am sure that that wild-haired beauty has grown into a goregous, amazing and fun young woman :)

{Brooke} | Senior

Brooke has a smile that could light up a room. I mean it, just looking at her pictures while editing made me want to smile :)

{Catelyn} | Senior

OHMYGOSH. I love Catelyn's session :) There wasn't a picture I didn't love.. This part of my job is so so hard!! After getting her hair done with the fabulous Rachel Elliot at Total Reflections, we began to have a great time shooting her session.



We were wandering (something I am known to do!) and I mentioned an amazing spot I wanted to shoot at again, and as we got closer, Catelyn says, "THIS IS MY GRANDMA'S HOUSE!" LOL! How awesome is that?! Here is a great image from our visit to Grandma's house..



LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE! This would be AMAZING printed on a metallic paper, or as a metallic standout! *wink wink* ;)



So beautiful!



Catelyn's prom dress was so fab! I love all the details and the color and fabric is amazing with the sun shimmering off of it! Check this out..

{Brittney} | Senior

Brittney was a nervous Senior. I have Seniors like this time to time. She had a lot of questions and I gave her the answers, but she still felt so nervous. Nerves are pretty evident in the beginning of a session. But I think Brittney can tell you, bythe time we ended she felt so comfortable that ending the session was a real bummer! We had a marvelous shoot, and I think Brittney is a pro! Check out some of the amazing shots we took..

{Macy} | Ohio Funky Senior Photography

Macy has a very fun and individual style. I was so happy to photograph her because when a girl shows up with an individual style, it makes my job seamless and makes it really flow.

Erika was my last Senior for the 2010 year. I was so excited to shoot these and I know they have been waiting patiently to see them!







Erika opted to go all out and get both ahir and makeup. I always think this is the best way to go, but I might be biased ;) Thank you to Rachel Elliot for the hair & to Amanda Painter for the makeup. You guys never fail to make my Seniors look incredible!!

{Alysia Vaske} | Artist Collaboration, aka "The Funky Shoot"

It all started as a comment on a facebook mobile upload. My friend, Alysia Vaske, had painted one of her AH-MAY-ZING designs on her apartment sliding glass door because, well, she had run out of canvas. I was inspired at the instant that I saw it. My head raced with ideas. Let's get Alysia to paint on PEOPLE! BRILLIANT!!



It didn't take long to get a HECK YES!! from Alysia and the ball was rolling. I knew what I saw in my head and knew exactly what I envisioned was something that would be awesome to her as well. We did a casting, we found our people who were down with being painted and everything fell together.







Some where along the line, it was named "The Funky Shoot". I love that. Funky is my word. ;)


















Alysia's paintings are so original. They are very colorful and unique, much like Alysia herself. Her paintings are for sale and you may contact her either by email (vaskealysia@yahoo.com) or by phone (419.203.6486) to see her work or for info on a specific piece you want.





I cannot end this post without thanking the wonderful Rachel Elliot, Robin Spencer, Amanda Painter, Katie Miller, Kylee Laukhuf, & Dancia Myers for being hip to the crazy stuff that goes on in my brain and getting as excited about it all as I do. And to our GORGEOUS models: Jason, Austin, Sarah, Toni, Amanda :) You guys are all irreplaceable and always always appreciated!
